Cecil Jones Enniskillen Centre Coordinator 07533979404 Email: firstname.lastname@example.org
Open Evenings will be held on Wednesday 19 September 2012 at 7.30 p.m. in both centres. Please note the change in venue for the classes in Enniskillen
Our teaching programme will include Practical Piping and Drumming, Theory of Music, Bass & Tenor Drumming, Highland Dancing and classes for Drum-majors. Returning students will normally continue from whatever standard they had already attained and new students will be assessed and placed in the grade (theory and practical) appropriate to their current level of competence in each.
We are very grateful to the Arts Council for their funding and support for our 2012-13 school enabling us to keep our course fees at the same level as in previous years.
During the year a special programme covering piobaireachd at all levels, from beginners to advanced players, introduction to small pipes and percussion skills in Kit, Hand-drumming and Bodhran will take place. Details of these classes will be made available later and they will be open to all who may wish to attend.
Please note that the Northern Ireland Piping and Drumming School is now an Associate College of The College of Piping in Glasgow who will arrange to examine, on request, those students with an interest in pursuing PDQB qualifications. We believe that for the past 32 years, pipers and drummers have both enjoyed and benefited greatly from their time spent at the NIPDS, with a long list of successful players, instructors and adjudicators to endorse that.
We hope to see you when the new term commences and that you will enjoy your time in the school.
